1996-2001: Senior Research Geologist for the Front Range Infrastructure Resources Project. - Conducted research on the location and characteristics of aggregate, energy, land, and water resources that are vital to sustaining the Colorado Front Range area and its infrastructure and provided decision makers and the public with objective information about those resources in user- friendly formats. 1993-1996: Senior Research Geologist - Missouri River Basin Project. In collaboration with 10 State Geological Surveys, prepared a geologic map and identified regional earth-science issues within Missouri River basin, identified methods and established priorities to address those issues. 1981-1993: Research Geologist / Hydrologist - Conducted research and wrote initiatives and other documents addressing environmental geology, infrastructure, urban geology, and for nuclear waste disposal. 1978-1981: Geologist, Office of Land Information and Analysis - Coordinated interdisciplinary studies aimed at applying earth-science information to land-use problems, and conveying this information to users. 1971-1978: Geologist - Conducted surficial geologic mapping in Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Virginia. Prepared geologic maps, engineering geology reports, and derivative maps, and conducted outreach activities for Connecticut Valley and Fairfax County, Virginia, Urban Studies.
